Professional Profile
Chris is a locally and internationally trained orthopaedic surgeon with a particular interest in lower limb surgery.
After completing specialist training in the north of Scotland in 2017, he undertook subspecialist fellowship training in Adelaide, South Australia. There he gained experience in lower limb primary and revision arthroplasty as well as the management of complex trauma before starting work as a consultant in Aberdeen in 2018.
He has particular expertise in MAKO robotic hip and knee replacement surgery. He is also a leader in minimally invasive anterior approach hip replacement surgery within the UK. Chris also offers surgery for young adult hip conditions such as femoro-acetabular impingement and labral tears by way of hip arthroscopy. He is the only surgeon in the North of Scotland to offer this service.
His priority is to provide excellent and timely care for all his patients, using modern techniques and state-of-the-art technology. The goal is to enable patients to return to the activities of their choice pain-free.
