Professional Profile
Having graduated from the University of Aberdeen in 1999, his basic and higher surgical training was undertaken in Edinburgh. During his training he completed a Diploma in Sports and Exercise medicine through the University of Bath, and was selected for a travelling fellowship in the USA in 2012, visiting centres in Boston, Chicago, and Tennessee. After completing my training in 2013 he undertook a fellowship in Sydney, concentrating on hip and knee reconstruction, and sports injuries as an accomplished orthopedic hip specialist.
Mr Mitchell has been working in Aberdeen as a consultant and orthopedic hip specialist in the NHS since his return from Australia in 2014. He also maintains an active interest in both research and training, and has presented nationally and internationally.
